Encouragement from Psalm 103…

Psalm 103:1-5

Praise the Lord, my soul;
    all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the Lord, my soul,
    and forget not all his benefits—
who forgives all your sins
    and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
    and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
    so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Lately, I have been hearing from many people who are going through some really tough times.  My heart aches for them as I have faced many low moments over the past year.  While my spirit was weak, the evil one tried his best to cause more pain.  Unfortunately, I believed some of his terrible lies thinking my health and spirit would not improve.

A friend called to offer encouragement.  She reminded me of who my Provider really is.  The truth is, our Father is our Provider.  I can be free from the bondage of fear because I am the daughter of a mighty King.  The devil wants us to believe the lie that we are powerless, and therefore without hope.  Please don’t believe the deceiver.

God loves us so much.  He is our Father, Protector, Healer, and Friend.  He is our Hope and Salvation.  If you have some extra time today, read Psalm 20 and Psalm 91.  Rest in the peace of knowing (even when it is hard to see or hear Him) that our Heavenly Father never, ever leaves us even during our darkest hours.

God bless each and everyone of you today.  May you feel the warmth of God’s presence and have peace that passes all understanding.
