Have a blessed day!

This is my ledge
of quiet,
my shelf of peace,
edged
by its crooked rails
holding back the beyond.
Above,
a hawk sails
high
to challenge clouds
trespassing
my plot of sky.
Below
in the valley
remote and dim,
sounds
come and go,
a requiem
for quiet.
Here on my ledge,
quiet praise:
of birds,
crickets,
breeze –
in different ways;
and so do I –
for these:
my ledge of quiet,
my plot of sky;
for peace.

I was able to find this book online after reading this poem. I believe it is out of print, but it has become one of my treasured items in my small library.
The Graham family has been such a blessing to many all over the world. I am forever grateful for how they have ministered to me and my family.

Thank you, Martin Luther King, Jr. Like he so bravely did during the 1960s, let’s take a faith step together.

Psalm 23 – A psalm of David.
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
Thank you, Father, for loving me enough to send your Son to die on the cross for my sins. It is a miracle that You saved me, and I will dwell in Your house forever.
God bless you and give you peace.
