Do you ever feel like asking our Father if He hears you? I must confess, I do. I imagine God lovingly smiling at me as I impatiently want Him to take care of the situation now…not tomorrow….not in five minutes…now!
This summer has been a season of me learning to let go of control (which I really don’t have anyway) and wait and listen for His plan. He hasn’t abandoned me…us. Our Father loves us more than we can possibly imagine. My dear brothers and sisters, let’s slow down and quietly take some time to listen and talk with the One who loves us most.
Sometimes, I will journal as if I am writing a letter to the Lord. When I go back over my words, I am filled with such gratitude. The Mercy and Grace He has shown me and my loved ones during one of the most painful times in our lives has amazed me. He feels our every tear and when we grieve, our Lord grieves, too.
He hears us…He is with us…our God is alive and real. You can trust that our great God is listening as He holds you in the palm of His Mighty Hand.
Psalm 20 – A Psalm of David.
May the Lord answer you when you are in distress;
may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
May he send you help from the sanctuary
and grant you support from Zion.
May he remember all your sacrifices
and accept your burnt offerings.
May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed.
May we shout for joy over your victory
and lift up our banners in the name of our God.
May the Lord grant all your requests.
Now this I know:
The Lord gives victory to his anointed.
He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary
with the victorious power of his right hand.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
They are brought to their knees and fall,
but we rise up and stand firm.
Lord, give victory to the king!
Answer us when we call!
May God’s great Grace fill your heart today.
